Our painters follow a best practice, multiple-step process to paint home exteriors. That process is describe below.

– 1 –
Initial Consulation

The exterior painting process starts with an initial consultation which you can request by either calling us directly or by filling out our online consultation request form. During our meeting at your home, we’ll talk about your project and the results you’d like to achieve, recommend paint products and colors, and provide you with an accurate estimate and timeline to start and complete your project.

– 2 –
Surface Preparation

When painting the exterior of a home, the results will only be as good as the quality of the surface preparation. Since the exterior of your home is continuously exposed to the weather, some surfaces may have deteriorated over time and will need to be addressed before being painted. Surfaces with loose paint will be scrapped, wood rot repaired or replaced, and gaps and cracks filled with calking. To remove unwanted surface deposits like mildew, mold, pollen, dirt and grime, your home will be carefully pressure washed with a proprietary solution.

– 3 –
Protection

Whether we paint your home by hand or sprayers, we will protect it against paint spills or overspray when work is taking place. Coastal Crew will protect your roof, windows, outdoor furniture, walkways and shrubs with plastic sheets and masking tape.

– 4 –
Paint Application

For the best and longer lasting results, Coastal Crew uses only the highest quality paint products from Sherwin Williams. The exterior surfaces of your home will be carefully and professionally primed and painted with the color(s) you selected with the utmost attention to detail and care. Our workspace will be organized and cleaned every day so you don’t have to worry about coming home to a mess.

– 5 –
Cleanup

Once your home exterior has been painted, our crews will cleanup the work area and remove all masking tape, plastic sheet and paint material from your property.

– 6 –
Final Walkthrough

The final walkthrough is the time when we will go over all the work that was done in detail with you. This is also the time where missed details (if any) will be corrected so you are left with a perfect exterior paint finish.
